Matthew 11:28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
You have been carrying something heavy for a long time. And somewhere along the way you started to wonder: does God actually want to help with this, or am I supposed to just push through on my own?
Hear what Jesus says directly: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
He doesn't say, "Come to me if you've tried everything else." He doesn't say, "Come to me once you have your act together." He says come—weary, burdened, exactly as you are right now. And then He makes a promise in plain language: I will give you rest.
That word "give" matters. Rest is not something you earn or manufacture. It is something He hands to you. The willingness is already there. It was there before you thought to ask.
You don't have to convince God to care about what you're carrying. He already does. He already has. The only question left is whether you are willing to let Him.
A prayer for today
I’m dropping it, God. The worry, the schedule, the need to be the hero. You take it. You lift what is crushing me. I am not the savior of my own life. You are. The weight is Yours. The breath is mine. Amen.
Your First Week · You're tired and maybe a little skeptical. This first week is simply a quiet space to be surprised by small moments of peace, exactly as you are.
