2 Corinthians 12:9

“But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'”

You have been giving for a long time. Giving to your family, your work, your church, whoever needed something. And now you reach inside and there is nothing there. Not just low — actually nothing. That scares you, because it feels like you have failed at the one thing you were supposed to do: keep going.

Paul knew that place. Something in his life was broken and stayed broken, no matter how hard he prayed. And God's answer to him was not "try harder" or "dig deeper." It was this: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

Made perfect in weakness. Not in spite of it. In it. The empty place you are so ashamed of is not where God's work in you stops. It is where it actually happens — because when you have nothing left, whatever happens next is unmistakably Him.

Your emptiness is not a failure of supply. It is where the supply changes hands.

You ran out. He doesn't.

A prayer for today

I am empty, God. Completely. I have been ashamed of that. But You said Your power works best right here, in the empty place. So I stop hiding it. Your grace is enough. You are enough. Amen.

The Weight of 'Should' · You carry an invisible backpack stuffed with 'shoulds.' This week, it's gently lifted from your shoulders, and you rest in the freeing truth that you are already enough.
