Psalm 68:19

“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.”

You gave it to God. And then you picked it back up. And then you gave it again. And now you are not sure who is actually holding it.

Psalm 68:19 settles that question: God is "our Savior, who daily bears our burdens." Not helps you bear them. Bears them. That means He takes the full weight. And the word daily means He does this today, not just the day you first handed it over.

He is not waiting for you to let go more cleanly before He picks it up. He is not standing there watching you struggle, holding back until you do it right. He is already carrying it. The moment you prayed and handed it over, it was His.

When the worry comes back into your mind, that is not proof He dropped it. It just means your mind is still sore from carrying it for so long. The soreness does not mean the burden is still yours.

You do not have to keep checking. He has it. That is who He is.

A prayer for today

God, I keep wondering if this is still mine to carry. Thank You that Your word says You bear it — not someday, but daily. I believe You have it, even when my mind does not feel the relief yet. You are the Savior. This is Your job. I rest in that. Amen.
