Jeremiah 31:25

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

There is a kind of tired that a good night's sleep doesn't touch. It lives in your bones. You carry it into the morning, through the afternoon, into bed at night. And somewhere in the middle of it, a quiet fear sets in: what if nothing can actually fix this?

God answered that fear before you had it. In Jeremiah 31:25 He says, "I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." He did not say He would help you feel a little better. He said He would refresh — fill back up what has been emptied out. He said He would satisfy — not partially, but fully.

This is not a promise that depends on how much you pray or how well you hold yourself together. God does not say "if you can muster enough faith." He says I will. The doing is entirely His.

He knows exactly what kind of tired you are. And He is not standing at a distance waiting for you to recover first. He is already moving toward you with exactly what your bones need.

A prayer for today

Lord, I am tired in a way I cannot fix myself. You see how deep this goes. I am not trying to talk myself into feeling better. I am coming to You because You promised to refresh the weary. That is me. I am the weary one. Do what only You can do. Amen.
