What if being truly known means being rejected?

You want to be understood, but there is a fear underneath that desire — what if someone actually saw all of it? The cracks, the doubts, the version of you that hasn't gotten it together yet? That fear is the reason you rehearse your explanations. You keep the messy parts just out of view, because being fully seen feels like a risk.

Paul wrote these words from inside that same fear: "For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known."

Notice what he did not say. He did not say you will be known and then evaluated. He did not say you will be known and then sorted. The word that follows "fully known" is not "judged" — it is simply the end of the sentence. Being completely seen is the whole story, and it is not a threat. God does not look at the unfinished, unedited version of you and pull back. He is not waiting for you to get cleaner before He draws closer. You are already, right now, fully known — and that knowledge did not end in rejection. It ended in this moment, you still here, still held.

The thing you are protecting yourself from has already happened. He has seen everything. And He stayed.
